How far along? 33 weeks (picture is 33 weeks and 5 days)
Weight Gain: 15 pounds
Stretch marks? no
Sleep: Mostly good. Waking up to go to the bathroom a few times a night, but that's been constant for the past couple months.
Best moment this week: We switched Birth Centers! We will now be delivering at BabyMoon Inn, and we couldn't be more excited. For several weeks we've been feeling like we just don't fit into the culture at Blossom, and we didn't like the communication style of our midwives. We toured BabyMoon on Saturday and had our first appointment this week. Everyone there is great, and everything about it reminds us of MN Birth Center where Aria was born. I was nervous to make the switch so late in the game but feel like we definitely made the right choice.
Miss anything? Holding Aria comfortably. I can only hold her for short periods of time now, and it makes me sad.
Movement: YES!
Food Cravings: no
Food Aversions/anything making you queasy: no
Symptoms: Feeling good. My chiropractor and midwife confirmed Baby Girl is head down and VERY engaged, which means she could join us early.
Labor signs: more braxton hicks this week, but my midwife said not to worry. It's normal.
Belly button in or out: out
Wedding rings on or off: on
Mood: Happy and Sometimes Irritable
Looking forward to: My Dad's visit! He is coming at the end of the week for a short visit, and I can't wait to see him. I think Aria is even more excited than me though!
Week 32 with baby 2
How far along? 32 weeks (picture is 32 weeks and 4 days)
Weight Gain: 15 pounds
Stretch marks? no
Sleep: ok
Best moment this week: Aria finally feeling better! We had quite the scare over the weekend with Aria's temp rising to 102. She had her Well Visit right before Thanksgiving and had a low-grade fever the night before her appointment. She didn't have a fever the day of the appointment, so her Dr. said she should still get her immunizations. I should have gone with my "motherly intuition" and waited on the shots, because my poor baby girl got really sick the next day. My guess is the immunizations weakened her immune system and allowed the cold/flu to fully take over. She fell asleep in my arms on Thanksgiving Day, which is VERY unlike her. We woke her up every 3 hours throughout the night to monitor her fever and give her tylenol/motrin intermittently. Her fever lasted for 5 days, and she is FINALLY better this week!!! Having a sick child is heart breaking, and I feel thankful this is the most sick Aria has been!
Miss anything? wine mostly - especially since Peter, Kelsey, Jake, and Makinzie indulged on Thanksgiving
Movement: lots
Food Cravings: cheese cake
Food Aversions/anything making you queasy: not really.
Symptoms: still tired from being sick. Otherwise I'm feeling pretty good with some sciatic nerve pain, but the chiropractor is helping a lot.
Labor signs: a few braxton hicks
Belly button in or out: out
Wedding rings on or off: on
Mood: Happy
Looking forward to: belly photos next week

How far along? 31 weeks (picture is 31 weeks and 5 days)
Stretch marks? no
Sleep: Ok. I'm quite uncomfortable from being sick. I seem to crash really hard for a few hours, wake up to pee, crash really hard, wake up to pee, and on and on.
Best moment this week: Pete has been such a comfort and help while I've been sick. I feel so fortunate to have him. He's an amazing husband and daddy!!!
Miss anything? feeling good/comfortable. I still have a cold, which I'm fairly certain has actually developed into a sinus infection. Needless to say, I've been miserable.
Movement: YES!
Food Cravings: not really
Food Aversions/anything making you queasy: no
Symptoms: I'm still having problems with my sciatic nerve. I saw the chiropractor, and the adjustment helped for approximately 12 hours... until I picked up Aria wrong. I realized I've been holding her on my right hip and jutting out my left hip, causing them to go out of alignment and pinching my sciatic nerve. Now, to figure out how to hold and cuddle my 2-year-old without hurting myself...
Labor signs: A few braxton hicks during the middle of the night.
Belly button in or out: out
Wedding rings on or off: On
Mood: Happy
Looking forward to: Thanksgiving Food!
Week 30 with Baby 2
How far along? 30 weeks
Weight Gain? 14 pounds
Stretch marks? no
Sleep: Mostly good. Waking up a few times each night.
Best moment this week: Pete went to Mexico on a company trip, and Aria and I stayed home. So, when he got home, I took a whole day off :) It was glorious! haha. As a SAHM, I rarely
Miss anything? feeling comfortable.
Movement: Baby Girl is a mover and a shaker. She moves much more than I remember Aria moving. Either that, or she just moves differently. Baby Girl likes to kick my ribs and press on my bladder.
Food Cravings: none
Food Aversions/anything making you queasy: not really
Symptoms: I've been having problems with my sciatic nerve. I had the same problem with my first pregnancy, but luckily it showed up later this time around. I'm searching out a chiropractor to help me out. Aria and I were both sick this week, which is never fun. She developed a cold first, and I got it a few days later.
Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out: out
Wedding rings on or off: On
Mood: Happy
Looking forward to: Getting adjusted by the chiro!

How far along? 29 weeks
Maternity clothes?
Stretch marks? no
Sleep: Good. Getting up to pee a few times each night.
Best moment this week: Going to prenatal yoga. I didn't realize how much I had missed yoga classes! The teacher I found is amazing, and I am really glad I bumped into her.
Miss anything? wine and sushi
Movement: Still quite a bit of movement. Little Girl had hiccups for the first time this week, and they were powerful!
Food Cravings: not really
Food Aversions/anything making you queasy: the smell of garlic still grosses me out.
Symptoms: feeling great
Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out: out
Wedding rings on or off: On
Mood: Happy
Looking forward to: Working on Baby Girl's nursery this week.
Week 28 with Baby 2
How far along? 28 weeks
Maternity clothes? rocking all maternity clothes at this point
Stretch marks? no
Sleep: Pretty good. My mid-wife told me it is completely fine to sleep on my back, which has made a world of difference. I was struggling to stay on my side and was tossing and turning all night. Now with 'permission' to sleep whichever way is comfortable, I've been sleeping much better.
Best moment this week: Celebrating Aria's 2nd Birthday. On her actual birthday, we went to Out of Africa. She loved seeing the giraffes, lions, and tigers and has been talking about them non-stop. Her birthday party was a Frozen theme. We decorated the dining room and hallway with snowflakes and Frozen theme decor, so she woke up to a Winter Wonderland and was beyond excited. It was so fun to her her pure joy and excitement.
Miss anything? wine and sushi
Movement: A LOT of movement this week. One day she moved almost non-stop for 4 hours.
Food Cravings: not really
Food Aversions/anything making you queasy: the smell of garlic
Symptoms: feeling mostly good
Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out: out
Wedding rings on or off: On
Mood: mostly happy
Looking forward to: Prenatal Yoga. I've been searching online for classes to go to, but wasn't able to find anything that looked worthwhile. Recently, I bumped into a woman who owns a yoga studio and teaches prenatal yoga, so I'm going to her class this week!
Week 27 with Baby 2
Monday, November 2, 2015
How far along? 27 weeks
Maternity clothes? I finally got out my maternity jeans, and they feel amazing. I forgot how comfortable they are. Kind of like wearing sweat pants, and a lot more comfortable than belly bands.
Stretch marks? no
Sleep: great! I think the cool MN weather and fresh air helped me get into a deep sleep.
Best moment this week: Aria and I visited family and friends in MN. It was a short trip, but what it lacked in length, it made up for in hugs, love, and quality time.
Miss anything? an ongoing theme, wine
Movement: Baby Girl seems to be on a pretty predictable schedule right now. She moves in the morning after I wake up and am laying in bed, mid-afternoon (3-4 ish), and at night when I'm laying in bed.
Food Cravings: not really
Food Aversions/anything making you queasy: the smell of strong garlic
Symptoms: lower back pain and a varicose vein in the most inconvenient spot imaginable. I asked my mid-wife about it, and it is completely "normal" during pregnancy. Just a huge nuisance, and a serious pain.
Gender: GIRL - we are certain we know the baby's first name, and we are still trying to decide on the middle name. Although, we aren't telling anyone the first name until Baby is born.
Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out: out
Wedding rings on or off: On
Mood: Mostly happy but a bit emotional. October is a difficult month for our family, so that was to be expected.
Looking forward to: Celebrating Aria's 2nd Birthday next week!
